Originally by: Antithysis If you create a shortcut to your EVE.exe file in your SiSi folder, put that onto your desktop. Once you have that, open the properties of the shortcut, and where you see the input box that's labeled 'target', place this string on the end: /end /server:87.238.37.50
Make sure to put a space between /end and the last " mark of the original input target. This is what should be done (correct me if I am mistaken), but even with doing this I cannot connect.

The dummies guide to setting up the test client
- First create a new folder under C: called SiSi.
- Copy your Eve directory from C:\Program Files\CCP\EVE to C:\SiSi [screenshot]
- Download the Singularity patch from here. Run the patch and make sure you select the C:\SiSi\EVE directory! Don't launch the Eve client yet.
- Delete the 2 directories named win2k & winxp from C:\SiSi\EVE\bin [screenshot]
- From the C:\SiSi\EVE directory, right-click eve.exe and select Send To > Desktop (create shortcut) [screenshot]
- From the Desktop right-click the eve.exe shortcut you just created (you might want to rename the shortcut) and select properties:
In the target box add /end /server:87.237.38.50 to the end of C:\SiSi\EVE [screenshot] (Note: if you want to keep the /LUA switch then use /end /LUA:OFF /server:87.237.38.50)
- Now you can start the client. Make sure you select Singularity from the server list!
Hopefully this will get you going.
I Don't have the "win2k & winxp" files to delete, so what should i do

"4: open sisi folder right click eve folder and rename testserver, now open and rightclick eve.exe, select properties"
Can Only do this to the Eve.eve (safe mode) cannot do this to the Eve.exe file unless i make a copy and change the copy but that dosent do what needs to be done. |
